(Norah and I coming down for the morning)(picture by Shawnee)
Another splendid school campout last night at Les and Allison's place on Sparrow Farm Rd. A chilly, chilly night, though. But lovely in the morning as the fog began to burn off.

(Here Libby walks by as I pack up our tent, Les' unfinished sugar house in the background)
My favorite time of year in Vermont.

Oh gosh, this is beautiful. I look at your photos and pine for a less urban life, where things like back country roads and impromptu school camp outs happen.
You look well, and your daughter is a wondrous sprite of a thing.
Holy shit, people leave comments on this thing?
MS--Thanks for chiming in. Rural life is a fair amount of work, mind you (even just winterizing a chicken coop is a substantial undertaking; and every night is getting colder and colder), but it has its joys too. And yes, my daughter is...well, she is teaching me a lot about how to live a life.
